Top and right sides of front cover show dark, hazy discoloration, indicating smoke damage. Spine is splitting, but pages still well enough attached for normal handling. Horizontal crease across the center, as the entire magazine was once folded in half. Some small closed tears along the edges. Interior unmarked and complete. The February 16, 1901 issue of THE SATURDAY EVENING POST, containing Paul Laurence Dunbar's dialect poem, "W'en de Colo'ed Ban' Comes Ma'chin' Down de Street," on page 9. .

Interior generally quite clean with solid binding and hinges intact. Exterior labels appear to be just a little age-discolored and are maybe 98% intact with a nick or two and a rubbed edge to the spine label along the front joint. Rubbing with a little exposure at the corners and the heel of spine. Type and numerous photos in sepia color. Decorations to every page in very light tan. Photos seem to depict blacks of the rural south in everyday poses going about the normal activities of their daily routine. Very Good.
